Changing from wordpress to substack
A change that was a few weeks in the making
This is my journey from the truck, to IT.
After months (years?) of doing the same monotonous work, often with little sleep and a desire to be home more often, I decided back in February to go ahead and change my life.
1. Why this, why now
After weeks of not writing anything due to the excuse of going to school full time, I was inspired by a blog post about setting up a Security Operations Center Analyst home lab. The look and feel of the blog was exceptional, and I would like to attempt to recreate that feeling here while documenting my learning experiences at school, labs and searching for a new job.
2. What kind of community am I looking to build here?
Ideally, if anyone subscribes to this, this would be a place that allows freedom of discussion about IT related topics, specifically security!
3. How often will I post?
I would like to start off with a post every week. There can’t be any guarantee for content to be posted more often than that at this point. There will be absolutely no paid content, as the point of this is to document my home labs instead of providing something that is worthy of your hard-earned money.
